Scheduled missions in the first week of February:

Thursday 4th: Women Make Music launch, Newcastle Arts Centre

This is a Jazz North East promotion, a double bill with a fantastic improvising electronics duo of Shelley Knotts and Mariam Rezaei. Advanced tickets are available HERE. The evening will also signal the launch of Gina Southgate‘s ‘Woman Paints Music’ exhibition at the Newcastle Arts Centre. This will comprise live gig paintings and prints that include women and work made in the north east.

Friday 5th: ‘Freedom and Structure Workshop’, Sage Gateshead

This workshop will be exploring the tension between written material and free improvisation. Tickets are available HERE.

Sunday 7th: The Green Note, London

This monthly night of original/contemporary jazz is programmed by the amazing tenor saxophonist Alex Hitchcock. We will be joined by special guest Nick Walters (Beats & Pieces, Paradox Ensemble) on trumpet and sharing the bill with pianist James Beckwith and his trio. Advanced tickets available HERE.

What’s particularly exciting is that we will be exploring new material on these gigs and going into the studio in the not-too-distant future to record our second album. Watch this SPACE (no pun intended…)!
